Lessons Learned: Viewing the Bigger Picture

Bruce Lundvall, the president and CEO of Blue Note, is a 45-year industry veteran and has launched the careers of many famous artists during his work with three labels. Lundvall started out as a jazz fan and record collector. He studied finance in college and launched his career at Columbia Records, helping to shape the label's identity. In the early 1980s, he moved to Blue Note, and he also had his own label, Elektra Musician.
