Discusses the possibility of using the Internet as a tool for jazz educators. Comments on the difficulty of
synchronous real-time interaction via video conferencing over the Internet, the building of consortiums between
academia, commercial industry and government institutions and asynchronous teaching methods using e-mail
correspondence and digitized library resources. Also includes remarks on MIDI, A/V streaming technology and CD ROM creation and notes how each relates to the aims of the jazz educator.
