Jazz Curriculum Approved in Manitoba, Canada

Reports on successful concerted efforts by the Manitoba Band Association (MBA) Jazz Curriculum Team, Music
Educators National Conference (MENC), and International Association of Jazz Educators (IAJE) to get the
government of the province of Manitoba to adopt the document "Teaching Jazz: A Course of Study" as Manitoba
curriculum for instrumental and vocal jazz education students. Explains that this puts the jazz curriculum program
on an even level with all Department Developed/Acquired curricula.
