The authors discuss the Entrepreneurial Leadership Experience (ELE) program at Elon University. Strempek, a
professor of business administration, partnered with Metzger, a professor of jazz studies, to produce and market a
CD of jazz music. In this way, they were giving hands-on experience to business students. The project has
continued since its beginning in 1997, and has been proven successful, both for the students and for Metzger. A
sidebar presents a basic marketing plan.
